WASHINGTON, D.C— Today, the House of Representatives passed eight bipartisan bills brought to the floor by the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. This legislation will support student veterans, improve maternal healthcare for veterans, require additional transparency of VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization project, and more in line with Chairman Takano’s priorities. This builds on the passage of five additional bills for veterans yesterday.
“Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed five bipartisan bills to benefit our nation’s veterans, and I am so pleased my colleagues have joined me again today to choose action by passing eight additional pieces of vital legislation,” said Chairman Takano. “These bills will support student veterans, improve maternal healthcare, require additional transparency of the Electronic Health Record Modernization project, ease the transition from servicemember to civilian life, and much more. I’m grateful to my colleagues for their support in passing these bills and for their dedication to honoring our veterans’ service.”
